Case New Holland (CNH) is a global leading provider of agricultural and construction equipment. We take our role in the world of agricultural mechanization seriously.
With the global population increasing and requiring additional food with limited amounts of fresh water, the efficient use of resources is of paramount importance. In addition, an increased use of crops for energy has put extra pressure on fields. There is also a general reduction of rural populations.
All of these constraints, intertwined with on-going climatic changes, make mechanization a necessity and a key area of development in the agricultural industry.
The role of CNH is not just to provide agricultural machinery but to also provide complete solutions that allow farmers to utilize the latest technology available for maximizing yields and returns not only today, but also for sustainable growth in the future.
CNH was formed in 1999 after the merger of Case and New Holland. Both companies and brands have long and rich histories. Today CNH has 40 manufacturing centers, 29 research and development centers, 28,800 employees and 11,300 dealer outlets throughout the world.
Case New Holland is a solid company rich in resources, an advantage that comes from being larger. It is a majority-owned subsidiary of Fiat Industrial. Fiat Industrial’s primary objective is the strategic development of its businesses – Case New Holland, truck-maker IVECO, and engine and transmission producer FPT Industrial. The combined total revenues at the end of 2010 were more than $28.2 billion.
Fiat Industrial’s sister company, Fiat SpA, is responsible for the auto brands ofFiat, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, and Chrysler, to name a few.
Case New Holland has a long relationship with Uzbekistan, which has grown and flourished since the mid 1990s with the opening of four joint ventures to support agriculture. Since that time, we have worked closely with Uzbekistan to provide products necessary for the development of the country’s growing agri-business sector.
CNH started with the famous Magnum tractors used to plow many thousands of Uzbek hectares every year, the Axial flow combine for the collection of wheat, and cotton pickers.
Recently we developed a much larger product offering for the country to include tillage and seeding equipment, mechanization of hay, and forage collection for the important growing livestock segment. CNH is strongly committed to supporting the government in their efforts to improve mechanization of agriculture.
In 2009 CNH started developing and supporting the construction equipment business by launching the New Holland Construction range of equipment.
