UZTEX, one of the newest and most modern spinning mills in Central Asia, began operations in June 2010 with the involvement and support of the Rieter company.
Combining perfect cotton fiber grown in Uzbekistan with advanced technologies, UZTEX produces high-quality cotton yarn in line with global standards, thus taking big steps toward further intensive raw cotton processing and the production of fabric and ready-to-wear textile goods.
The target of UZTEX is to increase Uzbekistan’s export potential in the textile industry while expanding its share of the global textile market.
The UZTEX spinning mill is located in Tashkent with a total site area of 90,000 sum and a production area of 20,000 sam. It is the most modern spinning factory in Uzbekistan and specializes in the manufacture of 100 percent cotton yarn. UZTEX employs highly qualified local and foreign specialists who have great experience in this sphere.
Using a total 31,488 spindles, the overall annual production capacity of the mill is more than 6,500 tons of high quality combed and carded yarn, the thickness of which varies from Ne 20 to Ne 40.The UZTEX mill is equipped with modern machinery from well-known textile equipment producers, thereby assuring the company’s competitiveness in the global market.
For the first time in Central Asia, the UZTEX company has been awarded the USTERIZED status for the cotton yarn it produces. Only 48 of the best spinning mills in the world have received this status. The USTERIZED certificate assures the production of quality products right from the start of the textile value chain.
