Monthly Meeting with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan

On June 24, the American Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan to hold a Monthly Meeting dedicated to discussion of activity of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the last years and how international conflicts can be resolved through TIAC (Tashkent International Arbitration Center).

The President of AmCham, Shadab Akmed Khan, gave an opening speech and then, gave the floor to the Deputy Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Usmanov Farizshokh, to highlight the important milestones and achievements of the Chamber during last years. Currently, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has 14 regional branches all over Uzbekistan and 206 Business Support Centers at the district level. On November 5, 2018, the Tashkent International Arbitration Center was established under the Chamber of Commerce.

Followed by the Chairman, Diana Bayzakova, the representative of TIAC, gave the speech on the main points of activity of TIAC and why companies should choose it when encountering international conflicts. She pointed out not only some factors of convenience that TIAC provides to the businesses but also the arbitration-friendly environment that Uzbekistan currently maintains.

Lastly, some points regarding the cooperation between AmCham and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry were highlighted.
